Although the son of two attorneys, Ahmad Muhammad didn’t always realize he was destined for a legal career. He thought medicine might be the avenue to follow, motivated by his desire to help others and make a difference. But through his undergraduate years as an acclaimed scholar-athlete, Ahmad began to realize that law school was an intriguing and realistic option. He observed how the law can frame every social and economic issue, and how lawyers be agents for freedom, justice, and equality on both an individual and broad scale.

During a highly successful academic tenure in law school, Ahmad took on leadership roles with organizations devoted to mentorship and guidance for students of color, and he plans to continue being a part of fulfilling the mission of those groups for years to come. He found a similar commitment to diversity and mutual support in joining SBSB-Eastham, with a culture that encourages a high degree of responsibility and workload from day one. The Dallas-area native continues to enjoy exploring all that the Houston community has to offer, and spends his free time exercising, fishing, and reading.
