Alina Virani

Alina Virani is an associate in SBSB Eastham’s Houston office serving as a member of the firm’s Defense Base Act practice group. Prior to joining the firm in February 2025, her legal experience included an 18-year stint as a paralegal working in environmental litigation.

During her time as a paralegal, Alina earned a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London International Programme in 2021. Two years later, she graduated with a Master of Laws from the University of Houston Law Center. While at the school, she received the prestigious Weaver-Lang Presidential Fellowship, an honor bestowed upon students in the LL.M. program who maintain a strong academic record and an interest in energy law.

Alina is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and maintains membership with the Houston Bar Association. Additionally, she is a member of the state bar’s respective sections for Environmental and Natural Resources Law, Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Women in the Law.
