Before joining SBSB Eastham, Alyssa Dunbar gained extensive experience working for the federal government. She previously worked for the Department of Justice as an attorney advisor at the Houston Immigration Court. There, she assisted immigration judges in preparation for hearings by reviewing the records of proceeding, conducting research, and examining formal filings for legal sufficiency. She also served as the on-call duty attorney responsible for conducting quick research and analysis on issues related to proceedings such as criminal bars to applications for relief.
That experience in administrative courts has given Alyssa special insight into the things administrative law judges are looking for when a case comes before them. Alyssa is then able to tailor her legal strategy accordingly.
Alyssa is a sharp attorney and a gifted legal writer and researcher. She enjoys diving into the small details of a case and finding those things that will bring success for those she represents. Those who work alongside her know Alyssa as a committed advocate for her clients.
Alyssa is a graduate of American University Washington College of Law in Washington D.C. When not in the office, she likes spending time with her rescue dogs, taking Orangetheory classes, and golfing.
