Anees Joubran

Anees “AJ” Joubran is an associate in SBSB Eastham’s Houston office and is a member of the firm’s Defense Base Act practice group. Prior to joining the firm’s bench in April 2024, he spent time as a legal clerk handling matters involving international business, whistleblower law and white-collar crime.

While Anees brings a diverse background in law to SBSB Eastham, he also boasts a diverse personal background. A first-generation Lebanese American whose grandfather opened the first Lebanese bakery in Houston, he speaks fluent Arabic and is proficient in French. This sophisticated perspective enables Anees to easily connect with people from different backgrounds, enabling a deeper level of association between attorney and client.

Anees is a former member of the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M University and often seeks out opportunities to volunteer in his local church community. Worldly, well-rounded in legal settings and deeply personal in connecting with his clients, he is quick in getting to the heart of the matter and finding a viable resolution.
