Camisha Mitchell is an associate in SBSB Eastham’s Houston office. A native of Gary, Indiana, she previously served as a middle school teacher of English Language Arts, Writing and Social Studies through Teach for America. Her prior legal experience includes stints with organizations including the Randall O. Sorrels Legal Clinic and the Department of Veteran Affairs and a judicial internship with the 215th District Court under Judge Elaine Palmer.
As an undergraduate, Camisha earned a Bachelor of Science from Ball State University before embarking on her time as a teacher. She would go on to attend South Texas College of Law in Houston and earn her Juris Doctorate from the school in 2025. While in school, she actively served in leadership roles with the school’s Black Student Association and its Health Law Society.
Camisha joined the firm in December 2025 as a member of its Defense Base Act practice group, and she is admitted to the State Bar of Texas.
