Before she became an attorney, Christine Busanelli spent a considerable amount of time in the insurance industry, first as a Claims Specialist, then later as a Lawsuit Negotiator and Subrogation Claim Superintendent for one of the largest insurers in the country. It was here that Christine realized many areas of her job overlapped with attorneys also employed by the company, so she made the decision to attend law school and get her degree. Since she became licensed, Christine has been able to increase the scope of her work and help a wider range of individuals and businesses.
Christine’s primary goal is to put the client at the center of everything she does. In this as well as her previous career, she always stressed professionalism and the need to focus on the goals of those she represented. She was once told that she “had a strong compass for justice,” and has always taken that as proof that clients can tell the difference between an attorney who genuinely wants to help them and one who’s simply going through the motions.
Before she received her law degree, Christine received an M.B.A. in human relations. She has long been a strong proponent for disability rights in America, having previously worked as a Legal Intern for Equip for Equality in Chicago and at the Veterans’ Legal Clinic while in law school. Christine has also served as an arbitrator. Outside the office, she strives to challenge herself just as vigorously as she does in her career, having studied standup comedy and ballet. Christine is also a former (2022) Ms. Illinois in a national pageant. She also loves to run and watch live music.
