Chris Carr knows from firsthand experience that the team can accomplish more than any individual. Obviously, that applies to his work today on cases ranging from workers’ compensation and employer’s liability defense to subrogation and general liability defense cases. But he initially learned this lesson firsthand working as a student manager for the University of Michigan Wolverines football team.
He worked with the team during the coaching tenure of Bo Schembechler and witnessed how the coach’s — and the program’s — work ethic and dedication influenced every team member to succeed in their roles for the benefit of the group as a whole. Chris is conscious of this in any project or case that he takes on, creating a true culture of teamwork that impacts the results in a positive way.
Chris believes in working to find the best solutions to the issues or problems that his clients are facing, being mindful of all aspects of the litigation experience in both dollars and the time it takes away from clients to focus on their core business. He will often present three or four strategic courses of action to help his client determine what would be best for their unique circumstance. The depth of experience at SBSB provides a significant resource in that regard.
This ability to approach problems from a variety of angles when dealing with clients, opposing counsel, colleagues and injured claimants, all while building respectful and beneficial relationships, is one of Chris’ strengths as an attorney.
When he’s not working, Chris enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife are busy most weekends, traveling to sports and events for their twin son and daughter. In the fall, though, he always carves out enough time on Saturdays to keep up with his beloved University of Michigan Wolverines.
