Colten Chapman

Colten Chapman is a partner in SBSB Eastham’s Houston office. Defending claims primarily under the Defense Base Act, he frequently handles cases that bring with them a unique set of circumstances in locales around the world. He also has a hand in the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, as well as a broad array of coverage work for both domestic and international clients.

Prior to joining SBSB Eastham in October 2017, Colten earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Houston Law Center, where he worked as articles editor for the Houston Journal of International Law and participated in Moot Court competitions. During this time, he worked as a judicial clerk in Harris County and in-house for a multinational outsourcing conglomerate.

Colten is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and the State Bar of New Mexico, and he is a member of the American Bar Association and the Texas Bar Association. He is motivated by cultivating trust with his clients and delivering successful outcomes for those he represents.
