Crystal Mendoza

Crystal Mendoza is an associate in SBSB Eastham’s Houston office. Since joining the firm in January 2025, she has assisted in handling cases arising under the Defense Base Act. Prior to landing in private practice, she interned with the Harris County District Attorney’s office and Kids in Need of Defense, an international nongovernmental organization providing pro bono legal representation for unaccompanied and separated children.

Crystal received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston – Downtown in 2012 before continuing on to earn an MBA from the school in 2016. A teacher for over a decade, she earned her Juris Doctorate from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law in three years while continuing to teach.

Crystal is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and maintains membership with the Hispanic National Bar Association and within its Houston chapter. Her prior experience with advocacy aids in the work she does for her clients.
