Dabney Pettus is a partner in SBSB Eastham’s Corpus Christi office. A legal mainstay in the area, she has practiced for nearly 25 years, primarily focusing her efforts on admiralty and maritime law along with probate and estate planning work at various firms before arriving to SBSB Eastham in March 2025. Her work has garnered national acclaim, including a prestigious AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

A born and bred Corpus Christian, Dabney earned a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Methodist University in 1997. Following this, she attended the University of Houston Law Center and earned her Juris Doctorate in 2001. While in law school, she served as Articles Editor for the Houston Journal of International Law and interned for The Honorable Melinda Harmon, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division.

Dabney is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and is licensed to the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Western and Eastern Districts of Texas. Additionally, she maintains Proctor membership with the Maritime Law Association. In her time away from practice, she enjoys sailing, practicing yoga, running, reading new books and cooking meals.
