David Hanson

David Hanson is a partner in SBSB Eastham’s Chicago office boasting an extensive history in Illinois state workers’ compensation practice. In his years of practice in the area, along with his work in subrogation and Defense Base Act matters, he has built a reputation for skillfully researching the applicable case law and deriving the best strategy for his clients.

A member of the firm since September 2020, Dave earned his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University-Bloomington and his Juris Doctorate from DePaul University. Over the course of his career in state workers’ compensation practice, he has spoken to a wider audience on the subject, including presenting on best practices, changes to the state’s Workers’ Compensation Act and the effect of COVID-19 on the matter in Illinois and Wisconsin.

Dave is admitted to the Illinois State Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin, is licensed to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois and maintains membership in the Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association.
