Emilia Duncan

Associate / New Orleans

P: 504.561.0323

A New Orleans native, Emilia Duncan was drawn to a legal career through a innate sense of caring for other people and having the skills to engage others at both a personal and professional level. In serving clients she will listen and respond to not only the facts and tangible needs supporting each claim, but also the underlying circumstances and emotions that may be equally important in reaching a favorable resolution.

That generous spirit is found in Emilia’s history of community and volunteer service at the New Orleans animal shelter and Baton Rouge Food Bank, and coming together with friends to create what has become an annual food and clothing drive for distribution to the metro area’s homeless population.

As a law student at Loyola, she provided pro bono services through the Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic to protect the rights of children in custody disputes, adoptions and other family law matters, practicing in district and juvenile courts in Orleans and Jefferson parish.
