Emily Richter

Emily Richter is an associate in SBSB Eastham’s Chicago office. A member of the firm’s bench since October 2023, she serves as a member of the Defense Base Act practice group. Prior to joining the firm, she spent time working in the civil defense litigation and family law spaces, high-stakes and aggressive areas of the law that provide her with a unique perspective on her current practice.

Emily earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities before later earning her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2022. While in law school, she earned prestigious CALI awards for her excellence in trial advocacy and legal writing courses.

Emily is admitted to the Illinois State Bar Association and maintains membership in the Chicago Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. She is determined to do everything necessary to achieve her clients’ goals in each case she takes on.
