Enrique A. Contreras is a litigation associate in SBSB Eastham’s Houston office. An accomplished legal professional, he was immersed in the legal world from a young age and was inspired to pursue the field by his father, who served as one of the directors for the Attorney General in Mexico. A member of the firm since June 2024, he boasts experience in litigation and international law.

Enrique’s academic career was marked by a passion for the law, beginning with his graduation with a degree in legal studies from the University of Texas at Brownsville. He earned his Juris Doctorate and a Master of Law degree with a concentration in international law from Loyola University New Orleans. While in law school, he studied comparative civil procedure and maritime law in Greece, actively participated in trial advocacy and as a member of the Jessup International Moot Court team and was recognized with a Trial Ad Best Opening Statement Award.

Enrique is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and all four U.S. District Courts in Texas, and he is bilingual in English and Spanish. His passion for justice and his meticulous approach to legal challenges enables him to achieve optimal outcomes for his clients.
