Hanna Verlander is a partner in SBSB Eastham’s New Orleans office. Since earning her Juris Doctorate in 2008, she has built a practice including insurance defense, maritime and admiralty law, construction, transportation and personal injury litigation. In 2015, she focused her work on claims centered around the Defense Base Act and the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act.

Since arriving at SBSB Eastham in April 2020, Hanna has brought a reliable knowledge of the law and an innovative approach to garnering solutions to the firm. She has extensive experience in meeting a client’s specific needs and providing counsel, dating back to experience externing at the Louisiana Department of Revenue while in law school, where she clerked for a firm providing counsel to State Farm. Prior to her career in law, she earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Orleans and her law degree from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University.

Hanna is admitted to the Louisiana State Bar Association and is licensed to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Western and Middle Districts of Louisiana. She employs excellent communication skills in her practice and is known for fostering long-term relationships with everyone involved in a case.
