Hayley Stancil

Hayley Stancil is an associate in SBSB Eastham’s Houston office with a rich background in admiralty and maritime law. A member of the Maritime Lawyers Association, she made waves throughout her time at the University of North Carolina School of Law, including a stint with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration, a clerkship at a Virginia-based firm in their maritime litigation practice and an externship on the clean water team at the Southern Environmental Law Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Prior to her law studies in North Carolina, Hayley attended and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Her academic career also produced authorship credit in multiple publications, including The American Journal of Bioethics and The North Carolina Journal of International Law, where she served as Managing Editor.

Hayley is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and maintains membership with the Maritime Law Association of the United States. True to her passion for maritime law, she enjoys spending time on the water whenever she has time away from her practice.
