David Henderson is a partner in SBSB Eastham’s Dallas office boasting an extensive construction defect practice. He arrived to the firm in March 2024 with a strong presence across North Texas, and his keen understanding of the construction process, design phase and risk management methods have aided his success in defect matters. Prior to arriving to the firm, he practiced professional liability litigation for licensed and registered design and engineering professionals as well as construction litigation for contractors and subcontractors. In doing so, he garnered substantial experience defending against malpractice, breach of contract, negligence, warranty and indemnity claims.

David earned his bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in Spanish from The University of Texas at Austin in 2012. Following this, he went on to earn both his MBA and Juris Doctorate from Texas Tech University, graduating with both degrees in 2017.

David is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas. He is an authoritative voice in the construction defect and commercial litigation arenas who is capable of providing skilled guidance for his clients.

Representative Cases

  • Represented a general contractor in a multimillion dollar Arbitration involving the construction of a Dallas condominium complex with water intrusion issues. Obtained an Award significantly less than the Condominium Owner Association’s final demand following the conclusion of the Final Arbitration Hearing.
  • Represented framing subcontractor in a multi-party Arbitration involving the construction of a multimillion dollar custom home in South Texas. Obtained an Award significantly less than client’s exposure following conclusion of Arbitration.
  • Obtained early dismissal of engineering firm in a commercial hotel design defect lawsuit.
  • Obtained favorable settlement for turf installation contractor in construction defect dispute involving the installation of artificial turf baseball, softball, and football fields. This settlement occurred following successful motions to strike the Plaintiff school district’s liability and cost of repair experts.
