Jason Sussman

Jason Sussman is an associate in SBSB Eastham’s Houston office. A former patent agent in the private sector, he joined the firm’s Defense Base Act practice group full-time in May 2025 after a stint as a clerk with the firm. Prior to launching his legal career, he spent time in the research space and served as Chief Operating Officer for a pharmaceutical startup.

Jason’s academic career spans around the globe, beginning when he earned dual bachelor’s degrees from The University of Texas at Austin in 2007. Three years later, he would earn a Master of Philosophy degree in Physics from the University of Cambridge, and in 2011, he would earn a Master of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering from MIT. He would later go on to earn his Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School in 2019.

Jason is admitted to the State Bar of Texas. Apart from his practice, he claims one marathon under his belt with the desire to someday run another.
