Jonathan Tweedy

Jonathan Tweedy is the managing partner of SBSB Eastham’s New Orleans office and boasts a practice docket spanning nearly a dozen areas. One of Louisiana’s top-rated attorneys, his areas of specialization include civil litigation, admiralty and maritime, personal injury cases and claims arising under the Defense Base Act and the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act.

Jonathan joined SBSB Eastham in November 2018 as a rising star in the Louisiana legal community when the firm expanded into New Orleans. A certified public arbitrator, he spent the early days of his legal career as a clerk with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Administrative Law Judges, gaining exposure to federal workers’ compensation, federal employment law, the Jones Act and whistleblower claims. Following his clerkship, he entered private practice, consistently maintaining an active docket in both state and federal courts. He has earned the honor of an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell for exuding professional excellence in the field, and he has also been recognized by Super Lawyers for over a decade and as a top lawyer by Inside New Orleans magazine.

Jonathan is admitted to the Louisiana State Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas, and he is licensed to practice before multiple U.S. District Courts in Louisiana and Texas, several U.S. Courts of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.
