Josephine Mares

Josephine Mares is an associate in SBSB Eastham’s Houston office and is a native of the city. A member of the firm’s Defense Base Act practice group, she has garnered a reputation as a skilled communicator and someone willing to go the extra mile to obtain a successful resolution for her clients.

Before joining SBSB Eastham in January 2023, Josephine earned a bachelor’s degree from Babson College School of Business in Massachusetts before obtaining her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law. While in law school, she clerked for several law firms in the Houston area, conducting research and analysis and fostering an acute interest in construction law.

Josephine is admitted to the State Bar of Texas. A former softball player, she understands the value of teamwork and puts it to use in her daily practice.
