Josie Deese

Josie Deese is an associate in SBSB Eastham’s Houston office and is a part of the firm’s Defense Base Act practice group. Her legal career launched as a law clerk for an entertainment firm in Los Angeles, drafting entertainment and music contracts and enforcing clients’ trademark rights. In 2022, she moved back home to Houston and worked as an attorney at a personal injury firm as the head of its intake department, drafting discover and settlement demands.

A member of the firm since August 2024, Josie graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Southern University in 2019. Three years later, she earned her Juris Doctorate from Southwestern Law School.

Josie is admitted to the State Bars of Texas and California and maintains membership in the Houston Bar Association. She classifies herself as an extremely determined person who goes the extra mile “and then some” to make sure all of her clients’ needs are met.
