Katherine Messina

Katherine Messina focuses her practice on Defense Base Act and Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation matters, as well as general insurance defense. Before joining the team at SBSB Eastham, she spent two years working as an assistant district attorney, prosecuting complex felony cases. This gave her a considerable amount of trial experience and taught her to think quickly on her feet. It also allowed her to work with people from all walks of life. Regardless of the situation, Katherine knows how to quickly get up to speed and put a plan together to help accomplish her clients’ goals.

Katherine developed a passion for trial advocacy while attending law school. At all times honest and upfront with those she represents, she always has their best interests at heart and works to find the solutions that will best serve them.

Before attending Loyola University College of Law, Katherine studied biology and psychology at Louisiana State University. Outside the office, she enjoys dancing, yoga, running, and anything that keeps her on her feet and active.
