Katy Ivey Day

Katy Ivey Day is an associate in SBSB Eastham’s Houston office and a member of the firm’s Defense Base Act group. A member of the firm since July 2023, she boasts prior experience in tax law, probate and estate planning.

The daughter of an attorney, Katy’s father inspired her to pursue a career in law. The capacity of the law to help those in need motivated her, and after earning a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas, she went on to obtain her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law.

Katy is admitted to the State Bar of Texas, and in addition to her DBA work, she handles claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act. An effective communicator and a passionate attorney at heart, she is a resource her clients can rely on at every step of the process.
