Lejla Alibasic is a member of the firm’s Defense Base Act practice group, assisting insurers in workers’ compensation matters. She joins the firm with previous experience in immigration and criminal law.

Originally from Bosnia, Lejla came to the United States as a refugee. Having watched her family navigate a new and often complex legal system when she was a young girl, she had a great desire to help others navigate that same system. Exceptionally skilled in research and writing, Lejla is always available to those she represents and will fight to achieve their goals. As a woman and a first-generation college and law student, her clients appreciate the unique perspective she brings to their cases.

Lejla is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she served as a Senior Editor for the International Law Review. Outside the office, she enjoys reading, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
