Michael Hogue is a partner in SBSB Eastham’s Houston office. A defense litigator at heart, his career got off to a noteworthy start when he was given a lead role on Cipollone v. Liggett Group, Inc. In defending the Liggett & Myers Tobacco Company, he became the youngest attorney in America to be given a lead role in such a major case, doing it all just five years after earning his Juris Doctorate.

Since joining SBSB Eastham in September 2016, Michael has brought an extensive practice docket to the firm, ranging from general and premises liability to admiralty and maritime to energy, insurance, transportation and more. He has also earned high marks for his professionalism, including the honor of an AV Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell.

Michael is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and is licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. An experienced litigator with deep industry knowledge and court savviness, he maintains a reputation for winning and getting the best results for his clients.
