Michelle Villagomez

Michelle Villagomez is an associate in SBSB Eastham’s Houston office and is a member of the firm’s Defense Base Act practice group. Before joining the firm in November 2022, she conducted research and hearings for various unemployment insurance appeals with the Texas Workforce Commission, the Virginia Employment Commission and the Nebraska Department of Labor. She later assisted lead counsel at one of the largest personal injury firms in Texas with their commercial litigation docket.

Prior to launching her career as an attorney, Michelle completed a successful academic career, graduating with honors both as an undergraduate from the University of Houston and with her law degree from Texas Southern University. While in law school, she served as Senior Managing Editor of the Thurgood Marshall Law Review.

Michelle is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and maintains membership with the Houston Bar Association and the Houston Young Lawyers Association. Guided by the phrase “don’t sit idle,” she works vigorously to remain in contact with her clients and craft a winning strategy for those she represents.
