Olivia Manceaux is a highly skilled member of SBSB Eastham. Her legal background and experience spans such areas as complex torts, maritime law, pharmaceuticals, wrongful death, property damage, insurance defense, corporate law, medical malpractice, family law, and domestic violence.
A former ballet dancer, Olivia has taken the dedication and focus she had onstage and applied that to the practice of law. While she jokes that some of her colleagues have referred to her as “painfully detail oriented,” she credits the work she’s done on behalf of her clients with her willingness to dig as deep as she can, to do the research necessary when litigating a case. Olivia’s clients know her as a clear communicator who takes care to craft legal strategies that will achieve their goals and put them in the best position possible going forward.
Olivia studied psychology and political science at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette before attending Tulane University Law School. There, she served as a student attorney for the Tulane Domestic Violence Clinic and worked with the Women’s Prison Project, which helps women who have been wrongfully incarcerated for defending themselves against abusive partners. There, she worked on one of the more complicated civil cases the Clinic had handled, and successfully assisted in the release of an inmate who had originally been given a life sentence. Outside the office, she still enjoys the ballet, as well as painting and enjoying the local artistic culture.
