Rachel Lavergne is a member of SBSB Eastham’s Defense Base Act practice group, working with insurance carriers and employers to resolve matters arising from the War Hazards Compensation Act. Driven and detail-oriented, Rachel is a born problem-solver focused on leaving clients satisfied with the results she achieves on their behalf.

Rachel received a B.S. in Psychology from Sam Houston State University. However, she felt that ultimately, becoming a psychologist wasn’t what she was meant to do. Rachel began working as a legal assistant at a Family Law firm where she supported attorneys preparing for trial and mediation. She enjoyed the opportunity her job afforded her to help others and the concrete difference she could see it made in their lives. Ultimately, Rachel knew she wanted to be able to do even more for clients, so she applied to law school to pursue a career as an attorney.

Rachel understands that complex legal issues can cause an incredible amount of distress and disruption in one’s life. As an attorney, she enjoys being able to take those issues on so those she represents can focus on more important matters. When not in the office, Rachel enjoys skiing and spending time with her husband and golden retriever, Rosie.
