Rachel LaVergne

Rachel LaVergne is an associate in SBSB Eastham’s Houston office. As a member of the firm’s Defense Base Act practice group, she works with insurance carriers and employers to resolve claims relating to the War Hazards Compensation Act. Additionally, she also consistently handles cases under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act.

Rachel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Sam Houston State University before working as a legal assistant at a family law firm supporting attorneys in preparing for trial and mediation. The experience ultimately motivated her to pursue her own career in law, and she went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law before joining SBSB Eastham in April 2024.

Rachel is admitted to the State Bar of Texas, and she relishes the opportunity the law provides to make a concrete difference in her clients’ lives.
