Rachel Miller

Rachel Miller is a partner in SBSB Eastham’s Houston office. With hundreds of claims arising under the War Hazards Compensation Act under her belt, she is known for having recouped significant recoveries for her clients. Her expertise in the area flows seamlessly into a deep understanding of the nuances of the Defense Base Act, as she’s helped draft, negotiate, litigate and settle over half a million dollars of DBA claims.

Rachel arrived to SBSB Eastham in October 2017, just after earning her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law. A certified mediator, she brings a diverse legal background to the table, as she maintains a passion for insurance defense and a heightened knack for communication, whether amongst clients, opposing counsel or before the U.S. Department of Labor. Before pursuing her law degree, she graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Rachel is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and maintains membership with the American Bar Association and the Texas Bar Association. She thrives on the unique set of circumstances each case brings and the art of negotiation required to achieve her clients’ desired outcome.
