Rachel Wheatley

Rachel Wheatley is an associate in SBSB Eastham’s Chicago office. Since joining the firm in March 2025, she has served as a member of its expansive Defense Base Act practice group. A native of Louisville, Kentucky, her prior legal experience includes work representing consumers in the enforcement of their rights under consumer protection statutes, including the Credit Repair Organizations Act and others.

As an undergraduate, Rachel graduated from the University of Kentucky’s Lewis Honors College with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a minor in Political Science in 2021. Her pursuit of the law led her to continue her studies in Lexington, as she graduated with her Juris Doctorate from the J. David Rosenberg College of Law with honors in 2024. Prior to and during her time in law school, she completed judicial internships at both the state and federal levels.

Rachel is admitted to the Illinois State Bar Association and maintains membership with the Chicago Bar Association. When away from her practice, she enjoys connecting with friends, reading new books and taking long walks with her dog Price.
