Richard Bogart was born and raised in Ridgewood, New Jersey and graduated from the University of Vermont where he double majored in psychology and political science. He began his legal career as a litigation paralegal in New York City with the prestigious law firm of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. In 2011, Richard left the northeast for sunny South Florida to attend the University of Miami School of Law on a Dean’s Merit Scholarship.

In law school, he earned two book awards, was a member of the Psychology, Public Policy & Law Journal, and graduated Magna Cum Laude. At SBSB Eastham, Richard specializes in handling Defense Base Act claims on behalf of insurance carriers and other employers. In his free time, Richard enjoys screenwriting, playing basketball, watching football, and painting.
