Samhita Kumar

Samhita Kumar is an associate in SBSB Eastham’s Dallas office. Since joining the firm in September 2025, her practice has focused on labor and employment, construction and premises liability litigation. Her prior work includes time spent representing small businesses and non-profit organizations in complex legal matters as a student attorney at the University of Houston Law Center’s Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic.

As an undergraduate, Samhita earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and graduated cum laude from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2021. She would go on to earn her Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center in 2025; while in school, she served as an Articles Editor for the Houston Journal of Health Law & Policy and competed on the UHLC Alternative Dispute Resolution team, where she earned recognition for her negotiation and advocacy skills.

Samhita is admitted to the State Bar of Texas. Away from her practice, she is a professional vocalist who sings in more than eight languages, and she enjoys teaching Indian Classical music, hiking new trails around Dallas and watching the Dallas Cowboys with her goldendoodle, Jeevan.
