Shannon Burr is a partner in SBSB Eastham’s New Orleans office with more than 20 years of practice focused in general litigation, construction and transportation. She has represented owners, general contractors, subcontractors and design professionals in all aspects of litigation from mediation to trial, and she has experience in defense commercial, industrial and residential construction cases. In transportation matters, she has defended brokers, carriers and drives involved in accidents, and she also defends premises liability and personal automobile suits.

Prior to beginning her career in law, Shannon earned a bachelor’s degree and her law degree from Tulane University, including obtaining a certificate in admiralty law. Before attending law school, she worked for a construction company, experience that partially fueled the desire to build a general litigation practice. She arrived to SBSB Eastham in August 2022 with extensive experience both in her diverse practice and in trial and mediation.

Shannon is admitted to the Louisiana State Bar Association, and as an advocate for her clients, she prides herself on being a fierce representative who puts the needs of those she works with first.
