Shannon Burr has been practicing law for more than 20 years and focuses on general litigation, including construction and transportation matters. In construction, Shannon represents owners, general and subcontractors and design professional in all aspects of litigation including creating and implementing effective discovery plans and trial strategy including mediation, binding arbitration and trial. Her experience includes defense commercial, industrial, and residential construction cases related to building defects, foundation issues, roofing, water intrusion, mold, HVAC and other mechanical systems, as well as highway and road construction. She has also represented parties in coverage and indemnity disputes involved in construction litigation.

In transportation-related cases, Shannon defends transportation brokers, carriers, and drivers involved in trucking accidents. Her experience includes pre and post suit investigation of accidents involving catastrophic personal injury claims, wrongful death claims, as well as contribution and indemnity matters. Shannon also defends premises liability and personal automobile lawsuits.

Prior to attending law school, Shannon worked for a construction company and enjoyed visiting various jobsites and learning about the industry. The diverse nature of her work is one of the primary reasons Shannon built a general litigation practice.

Shannon has extensive experience in both trial and mediation. She always lets her clients know that, as their representative, she will be their fiercest advocate, with their specific goals as the driving force of her legal strategy.

Shannon is a graduate of Tulane University Law School and has a Certificate of Concentration in Admiralty Law. Outside the office, she enjoys taking advantage of her proximity to the coast by boating and fishing.
