Tom Faragoi is an associate in SBSB Eastham’s Boca Raton office and is a member of the firm’s Defense Base Act practice group. Before becoming an attorney, he spent a decade as a police officer with the Chicago Police Department, where he received extensive training in criminal investigations and conducting interviews. In support of the war on terrorism, he served as a Captain in the United States Army JAG Corps, representing Soldiers and Veterans for 10 years in disability matters at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington State and Fort Carson, Colorado.
Tom graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Marquette University before going on to earn his law degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago in 2005. Nearly 15 years later, he would earn a Master of Laws degree in Healthcare Law and Policy from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2019 before earning another LL.M. in Dispute Resolution from the University of Missouri in 2022. He became a member of SBSB Eastham’s bench in April 2023.
Tom is admitted to The Florida Bar, the Illinois State Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association, and he is licensed to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. He maintains a heightened attention to detail and a strong focus for completing every task with integrity while consistently making himself available to his clients, understanding their business and owning their problems while delivering exceptional legal results.
