Victor Burnette

Victor Burnette serves as special counsel in SBSB Eastham’s Houston office. As part of a law career that spans more than a decade, he has handled matters relating to the Defense Base Act, the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, the Non-Appropriated Funds Instrumentalities Act and the War Hazards Compensation Act.

Prior to arriving at SBSB Eastham in October 2023, Victor served as in-house counsel for AIG, affording him a unique perspective of the insurance business and how to reach clients in that space. While there, he provided education on DBA and WHCA matters and the link between social media investigations and insurance defense claims.

Victor is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and is licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, and he maintains dual citizenship in the United States and Luxembourg. He is a tenacious advocate for his clients and an expert counsel.
