Zeshawn Mumtaz is an associate in SBSB Eastham’s Boca Raton office and is a member of the firm’s Defense Base Act practice group. Before joining the firm in May 2023, he gained experience in transactional work, insurance defense, construction defect defense, catastrophic loss and commercial litigation. Prior to this, he worked as in-house counsel for a Florida-based insurance carrier and for a general contractor.

A Miami native, Zeshawn earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami in biochemistry and molecular biology. He later attended law school and earned his Juris Doctorate from Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University.

Zeshawn is admitted to The Florida Bar and is actively involved with the American Bar Association, including currently serving as the chair of its TIPS Insurance Regulation Committee and working with multiple other ABA committees. He is fluent in Hindi and Urdu and is proficient in Spanish. He places a strong emphasis on client satisfaction and understands that clients are often reliant on him to help navigate complex legal issues.
