5 SBSB Eastham Partners Honored Among Top Attorneys in Texas

Schouest, Bamdas, Soshea, BenMaier & Eastham PLLC  (SBSB Eastham) is pleased to announce that five partners, including managing partner John Schouest and partners Kelly Haas, Robert Klawetter, David Merkley and Susan Noe Wilson, have been named 2024 Texas Super Lawyers.  

Texas Super Lawyers, published by Thomson Reuters, recognizes the top 5% of attorneys in the state through a selection process that includes peer nominations, evaluations and editorial research.  

Mr. Schouest, who marks his 12th year as a Texas Super Lawyer, is known for success litigating high-dollar, multi-jurisdictional and legally complex claims. He was recognized for his transportation/maritime practice.  

Mr. Klawetter and Ms. Haas also were recognized for transportation/maritime expertise. Mr. Klawetter, who is celebrating 14 years as an honoree, has more than 40 years of experience defending major casualty, personal injury and wrongful death cases. Ms. Haas, a 10-time Texas Super Lawyers honoree, focuses on admiralty and maritime litigation.  

Also celebrating her 10th year on the list is Ms. Wilson, who was recognized for her personal injury general: defense practice. Her expertise in maritime personal injury claims has earned consistent acclaim.   

Mr. Merkley, who was recognized for a 15th year for civil litigation: defense practice, is co-chair for the firm’s litigation group and trial team. He is regularly retained to represent companies against high-profile catastrophic accidents.
