Doug Wheat and Amanda Farley will join the firm’s Houston office
Schouest, Bamdas, Soshea, BenMaier & Eastham PLLC (SBSB Eastham) is pleased to announce it is growing its team of litigators with the addition of two new partners. Doug Wheat and Amanda Farley will join the firm’s Houston office.

Mr. Wheat is a seasoned litigator who joins the firm with more than 40 years of trial experience. He focuses his practice on defending companies and employers from casualty and property losses. Mr. Wheat’s case work includes product defects, trucking accidents, manufacturing incidents, offshore casualties, and commercial disputes. His extensive experience also includes maritime, longshore and Defense Base Act cases, along with cases involving energy, transportation, and workers’ compensation. While Mr. Wheat’s practice is centered primarily in Texas and Louisiana, he handles cases all along the Gulf Coast.
Ms. Farley has nearly two decades of experience as a litigator. Her practice includes admiralty law, maritime personal injury, Jones Act, Longshore & Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, and civil defense litigation including wrongful death, general liability, and insurance claims. Before entering private practice, Ms. Farley was an adjunct professor at South Texas College of Law teaching trial techniques. She is an active member of the Houston Bar Association and the Houston Mariners Club.
