Schouest, Bamdas, Soshea, BenMaier & Eastham PLLC (SBSB Eastham) has been named to the 2025 list of Best Law Firms by publishers of The Best Lawyers in America, one of the most highly regarded legal guides in the country.
The firm earned top-tier status for its admiralty and maritime work in the Houston and Chicago metropolitan areas, with additional recognition for such work nationally and in New Orleans. It also was singled out for its work in transportation law in Houston.

SBSB Eastham, which has offices in seven cities across five states, was eligible for the Best Law Firms rankings because 10 of its lawyers were recognized by The Best Lawyers in America for 2025.
Mr. Schouest was named Chicago admiralty and maritime law “Lawyer of the Year,” and SBSB Eastham partners Limor Ben-Maier, James Bailey, Richard Cozad, Thomas Deen, Kelly Haas, Sarah Clinton Jones, Robert L. Klawetter, David Merkley and Christina K. Schovajsa were honored as well.
The Best Law Firms honor continues what has been a remarkable year for SBSB Eastham. The firm established a new office in Dallas in March to expand its geographic reach and enrich its service portfolio. It also opened a new office in Corpus Christi at The Chamberlain, one of the city’s most historic buildings.
