SBSB Eastham Expands Firm Expertise and Services

Houston, Texas (August 1, 2018) The law firm of Schouest, Bamdas, Soshea and BenMaier P.L.L.C. (SBSB Eastham) continues to add senior level resources and has made the acquisition of New Orleans firm McAlpine and Cozad effective August 1, 2018. Michael McAlpine, Richard Cozad and Jeff Peuler have joined SBSB Eastham as partners. The New Orleans office is located at 365 Canal Street, Suite 2730 in the Central Business District.

“SBSB Eastham continues its steady growth,” stated managing partner John Schouest of SBSB Eastham. “The expansion into New Orleans allows SBSB Eastham to add three proven professionals to our stellar roster of attorneys. Personally, I grew up ‘down the bayou’ in Lafourche Parish. I received all my education in Louisiana. This new chapter hits close to home for me.”

Schouest continued, “Earlier this year, we welcomed Tim Strickland, Stacy Norstrud and Robert Vining to the firm. Tim’s leadership in the BP Gulf of Mexico incident established him as a leading authority on disaster response and remediation, especially in the Maritime community. He is recognized in the industry as the ‘go to’ attorney for litigation and environmental matters. Robert offers clients his valued litigation experience of more than 20 years in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. We now have more than 50 attorneys and have expanded services to our valued clients.”

Michael Alpine added, “Richard, Jeff and I are excited to join forces with a dynamic group of attorneys at SBSB Eastham to continue representation of our established clients.”

“Mike and I are grateful that SBSB Eastham has entrusted us with the opportunity to establish the firms’ presence in South Louisiana by opening its New Orleans office,” said Richard Cozad. “We are confident that armed with SBSB Eastham’s resources and our relationships with the lawyers, courts and industry leaders in this market, SBSB Eastham will be a preeminent member of the Louisiana legal community.”

Susan Noe Wilson, Litigation head for SBSB Eastham, added, “We are now in a position to satisfy our clients’ current litigation needs in Louisiana and expand our resources to cover a larger portion of the Gulf Coast and broaden our scope nationally.”
