Four SBSB Eastham Partners Named to 2022 List of Texas Super Lawyers

Schouest, Bamdas, Soshea, BenMaier & Eastham PLLC (SBSB Eastham) is pleased to announce that four firm partners have been named to the 2022 list of Texas Super Lawyers, a legal guide that recognizes only the top attorneys in the state.

This year’s honorees include SBSB Founder John L. Schouest and partners Susan Noe Wilson, Robert Klawetter and Kelly M. Haas. Mr. Schouest, Mr. Klawetter and Ms. Haas are recognized for their work in Transportation/Maritime Law. Ms. Wilson is honored for her Personal Injury Defense work.

In his 10th year on the list of Texas Super Lawyers, Mr. Schouest has established himself as the preferred legal counsel for many of the world’s largest insurance companies dealing with high-dollar, multijurisdictional, and legally complex claims. He is one of the world’s leading attorneys for Defense Base Act disputes, defending claims against contractors providing support to the military and other important service around the globe.

As SBSB Eastham’s Head of Litigation, Ms. Noe Wilson has significant experience in the defense of maritime personal injury claims in the U.S. Gulf Coast oil industry, as well as extensive experience in insurance coverage and bad-faith litigation for maritime and energy-related insurance policies. This is her eighth consecutive year to be recognized by Texas Super Lawyers.

Mr. Klawetter is marking his 13th year on the list of Texas Super Lawyers. His litigation practice focuses on the defense of major casualty, personal injury, and wrongful death cases. With more than 40 years in practice, he has dozens of jury and non-jury trials to his credit, as well as multiple appellate arguments. He has an AV Preeminent Rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards.

Ms. Haas focuses her practice on admiralty and maritime law and energy-related litigation matters in both state and federal courts. This is her eighth year to be recognized by Texas Super Lawyers. She was also previously recognized twice as a Texas Rising Star, a companion listing of the state’s top young attorneys.

“From our merger with Eastham, Watson, Dale & Forney to our decision to join forces with the Bale Law Firm, 2022 has already been an incredible year for our firm with regard to growth,” said Mr. Schouest. “To have our team recognized in this way now, especially by our peers, makes a great year that much more special.”
